Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. In a large bowl beat sugar, butter, vanilla, and egg yolk; until smooth. Then add flour, stir until dough holds together.
  3. Shape into 1 inch balls.
  4. In a small bowl, beat egg white slightly with a fork.
  5. Dip balls into egg white, then roll in nuts.
  6. Place about 1 inch apart on a ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Press thumb deeply in center of each.
  8. Bake about 10 minutes or until light brown.
  9. Cool on wire rack.
  10. Spoon jelly into thumbprints.
