Ingredients:

  • 1 large yellow turnip
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Peel and cut turnip into 2 inch cubes.Cook in salt water just covered until tender.Drain reserve liquid.Mash turnip until smooth.Add butter,egg,milk,sugar and some of liquid to make moist mixture.Pour into greased loaf pan bake at 325 for 1 hr.. Makes 6 servings
