Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter or marg
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar ,packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped nuts ( optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F
  2. In bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt & set aside.
  3. In large bowl, beat butter, both sugars, and vanilla until creamy.
  4. Beat in eggs.
  5. Gradually add flour mixture.
  6. Stir in chips, raisins, and nuts if using.
  7. Spread in lightly greased 9x13 baking pan.
  8. Bake for 18 - 20 minutes until light brown.
  9. Cool and cut into 2 squares.
  10. Cover tightly or it will dry out quickly.
