Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Grease 2 baking sheets. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together.
  3. Cut in butter. I use a potato masher! it works wonders!
  4. Add raisins and milk.
  5. Knead mixture softly and gently with hands. This is important, as too much handling can make these turn out flat. Just mix until they are mixed!
  6. Roll out onto floured surface, and cut out circles. ( the top of a drinking glass is fine. )
  7. Place on pan and bake for 14 minutes, or until the top is beginning to turn a light golden tan.
