Super Soft Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Cream together sugar and butter.
  2. Add the beaten eggs and vanilla.
  3. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and nutmeg.
  4. Add to the first four ingredients.
  5. Let the dough chill for 2 hours.
  6. Preheat oven to 425.
  7. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface and cut the cookies about 1/2 inch thick.
  8. Try not to add too much flour to them it will ruin the texture of the cookies.
  9. Bake for 8 minutes.
  10. Let cool, then frost with any frosting you would like.
