Strawberry Stuffed French Toast

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. On top of 6 slices of bread, place a generous teaspoon of cream
  2. Cheese, a generous teaspoon of fruit spread, and 4 strawberry slices.
  3. Top each with another slice of the remaining bread.
  4. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  5. Dip bread into egg mixture, being careful not to let strawberries fall
  6. Out.
  7. Press edges together to seal.
  8. Heat skillet to medium and melt butter.
  9. Cook 2 or 3 minutes or until the first side is golden brown.
  10. Use a spatula to turn sandwich over, and cook until second side is golden brown.
  11. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  12. Serve immediately with maple syrup.
