Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven at 400 degrees.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt together in a large bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the eggs, buttermilk and melted butter.
  4. Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring just enough to moisten.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spoon the mixture into greased muffin pans, filling 3/4 full.
  7. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean, about 15 minutes.
  8. Remove immediately from the tins and cool briefly on a wire rack.
