Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup. sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup. white corn syrup
  • 1 box special k cereal (the large size)
  • topping
  • 1 1/2 cup. butterscotch chips
  • 1 1/2 cup. chocolate chips
  • add maple flavoring to taste -- as well as vanilla flavoring
  • mix above together and bring to a boil in pan allowing to boil for a couple minutes- stirring occassionally. gradually add special

Directions:

  1. Bring sugar, peanut butter, corn syrup and maple flavoring to boil- boil a couple minutes. Gradually add the cereal to the melted mixture.
  2. Spread out in a 9X13 pan.
  3. Prepare topping. Melt butterscotch chips, chocloate chips and flavorings together and spread over the cereal mixture in pan. Let cool, cut and serve.
  4. You can vary ingredients in order to create a very gooey bar cookie and if you prefer- you may refridgererate the cookies.
  5. Super easy recipe, kids love them!
