  9. Package (8 ounces) medium egg noodles
  10. Cup Cottage cheese
  11. Carton ( 8 ounces) sour cream
  12. /2 cup minced onion
  13. Pound lean ground beef
  14. Can ( 8 ounces) tomato sauce
  15. Teaspoon salt
  16. /2 teaspoon garlic salt
  17. /4 cup cubed Cheddar cheese
  18. Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain noodles; fold in
  19. Cottage cheese, sour cream, and onion. Set aside. Cook meat until no
  20. Longer pink; drain. Add tomato sauce and seasonings; simmer for 10
  21. Minutes. Spoon half of noodle mixture into a lightly greased 2-quart
  22. Casserole; top with half the meat mixture. Repeat layers and bake at 350 F.
  23. For 30 minutes. Remove from oven; sprinkle with cheese, and bake an
  24. Additional 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  25. Cooking Tip: Crush leftover potato chips or pretzels, and use to top
  26. Casseroles.
