Slow Cooker Russian Chicken

  • 1 16 oz bottle of russian dressing (can be hard to find so catalina can be substituted, but the end result will have a less rich taste)
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 10 oz. jar apricot jam/preserves
  • chicken pieces
  • salt and pepper


  1. Combine First three ingredients in a bowl
  2. Season Chicken with salt and pepper and place in the bottom of slow cooker
  3. Pour mixture over Chicken
  4. Cook on Low for 6-8 Hours (or on High for 3-4 hours)
  5. This recipe can also be made in the oven, follow steps exactly except place chicken in a casserole dish and bake at 350 for one hour
  6. Serve over rice
