Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F
  2. Butter a 2 quart baking dish.
  3. Spread butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.
  4. Line bottom and sides of baking dish with buttered bread.
  5. Mix milk, beaten eggs, sugar, salt, raisins, vanilla, Whiskey and cinnamon and pour over bread.
  6. Place extra pieces of buttered bread on top and press down to submerge.
  7. Allow to stand for 10-12 minutes, longer if bread is on the dry side.
  8. Bake, covered for 30 minutes, then uncover for 30 minutes and continue baking for a total of 60 minutes.
  9. Remove cover and place under broiler, until top becomes a deep-golden crust.
  10. Serve warm with heavy cream and your favourite preserves.
  11. Can server 4-6 it just depends on the serving sizes.
