Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves

Directions:

  1. Combine red wine vinegar, sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and lemon zest in a saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar, and reduce heat to low. Simmer until the sauce reduces slightly and coats a spoon, about 10 minutes.
