Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2-3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups pumpkin
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3-1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1-1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar then add pumpkin, eggs and vanilla.
  2. Sift dry ingredients except baking soda together then add to creamy mixture.
  3. Combine baking soda with hot water until well combined then stir in dry ingredients.
  4. Pour into large loaf ban and bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
