Pear Nutmeg Cheese Pie

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Crust........
  2. Ina bowl , combine cookie crumbs and butter mix and press into bottom and sides of a 9inch pie plate and freeze........
  3. Filling ...............
  4. In a mixer bowl fitted with an paddle attachment , beat cream cheese, cottage cheese and sugar on med- high speed until very smooth for about 3 minutes
  5. Add eggs, one at a time beating after each addition
  6. Fold in pear, nutmeg and vanilla..........
  7. Pour over frozen crust , smoothing out to the sides of the pie plate.
  8. Bake in preheated oven 325 degrees f. for 25- 35 minutes, until top is light brown and center has a slight jiggle to it
  9. Let cool in pan on a wire rack for 2 hours
  10. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours before decorating or serving
  11. Decoration...............
  12. Ice top of pie with whipped cream or pipe rosettes around the top of the pie ........
  13. .serves 6
  14. Variation......... you can also use fresh or canned peaches in place of the pears if you like ............
