Ingredients:

  • 8 peaches , medium
  • 2/3 cup sugar, white
  • 2 tbsp white flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 3 tbsp whole milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Placed peeled, sliced peaches into square pyrex dish.
  3. Mix together the following and sprinkle over the peaches: 2/3 cup sugar, 2 TBS flour, tsp cinnamon.
  4. Dot top with 1 TBS butter (more or less to taste).
  5. Sift together: 1 cup flour, 2 TBS sugar, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, pinch of salt
  6. Cut in 1/3 cup butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  7. Add 3 TBS milk and 1 beaten egg.
  8. Mix very well with a fork and drop by spoonful on top of peaches.
  9. Place in preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, until top is golden brown.
  10. You can double this recipe. Simply use a 9x11 pyrex dish.
