Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 oz yeast
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup lard
  • 5 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Mix together first six ingredients with electric mixer.
  2. Add 5-6 cups flour & knead well.
  3. Let rise in well oiled, covered bowl.
  4. Punch down.
  5. Make into loaves or rolls an let rise until double.
  6. Bake at 325 for 20-25 minutes for small loaves.
