Orange Cinnamon Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups often 1 bag whole fresh cranberries (rinse and drain)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 orange , for zest
  • 1 -2 dash ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Combine water, sugar, orange juice in a saucepan.
  2. Bring the liquid to a boil.
  3. Add the cranberries to the saucepan.
  4. Bring the cranberries to a boil.
  5. Add orange liqueur (either Cointreau or Grand Marnier), cinnamon and the zest of one orange.
  6. Reduce heat and boil GENTLY for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve warm!
