My Secret Pale Ale Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 (375 ml) bottle pale ale
  • 1 cup cream ( thickened)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp garlic
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • 1 pinch nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Bring a saucepan up to temperature (HOT).
  2. Place olive oil in pan with garlic and fry quickly.
  3. Put saffron threads in and fry for 25 more seconds.
  4. Pour in pale ale.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, nutmeg.
  6. Reduce by half.
  7. Pour in cream.
  8. Add golden syrup and parsley.
  9. Stir
  10. Reduce till desired thickness.
  11. If you reduce to far and sauce splits add more cream.
  12. Makes enough for one service!
