Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Simple sugar: Fill a measuring cup with 1/2 C sugar and fill to 1 C measure with water (=1 C simple sugar) . Stir until sugar is dissolved. It is now ready to use.
  2. Note: Optional: if you have time to make simple sugar on the stove top and thoroughly cool before serving, that works well too but is not necessary. Cool & chill.
  3. Cut or slice fruits: apples, oranges, limes.
  4. One hour prior to serving, place fruit in the pitcher, add wine and let soak for one hour.
  5. In a large pitcher combine remaining ingredients.
  6. Fill glasses with ice, sangria and a slice of fruit.
