Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Blend sugar and shortening. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating
  2. After each one. Add vanilla.
  3. Sift dry ingredients in a separate dish.
  4. Add dry ingredients alternating with milk to sugar mixture. Beat egg
  5. Whites (stiff). Fold into mixture.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
