Mom's Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda (rounded)
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup sour milk or 1 cup buttermilk

Directions:

  1. Mix cocoa, soda, and water.
  2. Add alternately the spry, sugar, flour, and milk.
  3. Put in greased pan (also floured).
  4. Start in a cold oven, set for 250°.
  5. Finishes baking in about 1 hour.
