Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup shortening
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup sour milk
  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Cream shortening. Blend sugar, egg, molasses, and milk. Add sifted dry ingredients, mix thoroughly. Drop from a spoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375F for approximately 10 minutes.
