Mixed Nut Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 (12 oz) can mixed nuts
  • 1 tsp water
  • 2 tbsp butter or 2 tbsp margarine

Directions:

  1. Mix first four ingredients like pie crust.
  2. Press into bottom of 9x13 inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  4. Evenly spread mixed nuts over baked crust.
  5. Mix together last four ingredients in a saucepan.
  6. Heat until mixture melts, stirring constantly.
  7. Pour cooked syrup over nuts.
  8. Bake 10 more minutes at 350 degrees.
