Ingredients:

  • 1/8 liter fine dry breadcrumbs or 2 slices white bread
  • 1/8 liter cream
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp allspice or 1/4 to taste white pepper
  • 2 tbsp fat
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 liter pan juices

Directions:

  1. Mix breadcrumbs with water and cream in a bowl.
  2. Let stand for a while.
  3. Finely chop the onion and sauté in oil in a frying pan or microwave oven.
  4. Add the onion, egg, seasonings and meat.
  5. Mix until smooth.
  6. Wet your hands and shape the mixture into balls.
  7. Fry meatballs in hot fat on all sides.
  8. Small balls will be done in 3-5 minutes, larger ones 5-8 minutes.
  9. To make gravy, brown the flour lightly in fat.
  10. Add the liquid stirring all the time.
  11. Add the cream and check seasonings.
  12. The gravy can be served separately or poured over the meatballs.
  13. Serve with potatoes and grated carrots.
  14. Lingonberry jam and gherkins also go well with the dish.
