Leave It to Beaver's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (6 oz) package chocolate chips
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
  3. Blend dry ingredients.
  4. Add the dry ingredients into the shortening mixture.
  5. Mix in chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by rounded teaspoons on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake about 10 minutes or until pale golden.
