Hummus Bi Tahini  Gi Jane

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz chickpeas
  • 4 tbsp lemon juice (1 lemon)
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 6 oz water (including the canning liquid)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

Directions:

  1. If canned, drain the chickpeas but reserve the canning liquid
  2. Place the chickpeas in a small blender with the lemon juice, tahini and crushed garlic
  3. Start blending and add enough water/liquid to make a paste of a creamy dipping consistency
  4. Stir in the ground cumin
  5. Serve sprinkled with paprika and drizzled with the olive oil
