Hot Mixed Fruit Compote

Ingredients:

  • 7 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3/4 cup sugar

Directions:

  1. In 3 quart saucepan combine dried fruits, water, lemon slices and cinnamon stick.
  2. Bring to boiling.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered 30 minutes or until fruits are tender.
  4. Add sugar stirring until dissolved then simmer 5 minutes.
  5. Serve warm.
