Homemade Rum Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 quart rum (maybe 2)
  • 1 cup butter

Directions:

  1. Before starting, sample the rum to check quality.
  2. Good, isn't it? Now proceed.
  3. Get your tools out.
  4. Check rum again. It must be just right.
  5. To be sure that the rum is of proper quality, pour one level cup into a glass and drink it as fast as you can.
  6. Repeat.
  7. With an electric mixer, beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
  8. Add 1 tsp thugar and beat again.
  9. Meanwhile, make sure the rum is still alright. Try another cup.
  10. Open a second quart if necessary.
  11. Add leggs, 2 cups fried fruit and beat til high.
  12. If druit gets stuck in the beter, pry loose with drewsciber.
  13. Sample the rum again, checking for tonscistricity.
  14. Now sift 3 cups pepper of salt (really doesn't matter).
  15. Sample rum.
  16. Sift 1/2 pint lemon juice.
  17. Fold in chopped butter and strained nuts.
  18. Add 1 bablespoon of brown sugar or whatever you can find.
  19. Wix mel.
  20. Grease oven.
  21. Turn cake pan to 350. gredees.
  22. Pour ness into boven and ake.
  23. Check rum again and bo to ged.
