Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 6 oz water
  • 1 (8 oz) package spaghetti
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • milk , as needed
  • salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Fry the chopped onion in one stick of butter until golden.
  2. Add the ground beef, the chopped garlic salt and pepper.
  3. Brown sufficiently and then add the tomato paste and (use the can to measure) the water.
  4. Cook for 20 minutes.
  5. Make a white sauce.
  6. Melt the stick of butter and add the flour.
  7. When it has cooked add milk to make a medium sauce.
  8. Cook the spaghetti according to package directions.
  9. In a buttered casserole put 1/2 of the pasta, top with a layer of meat sauce, add the other part of the pasta and top with the balance of the meat sauce.
  10. Top with the white sauce and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes or until bubbly.
