  1. If you havent already done so wash the grapes and freeze for ease of chopping at least 4 hours in advance.
  2. In a small stainless steel saucepan on stovetop mix milk and tapioca. allow to stand 5 minutes.
  3. Heat milk and tapioca over medium low until bubbling and thickened while avoiding scalding the milk. wisk continually to prevent scalding.
  4. Remove from heat and wisk in grape flavored drink mix and food color until sugar is disolved.
  5. Let stand to cool completely. dont put it in the fridge. i tried that and it gels up to much.
  6. Meanwhile chop the frozen grapes 10 at a time in a plunger type onion chopper. its hard but you can do it. just punch down on the top a few times. put the medium course chopped grages into a bowl and put back into freezer to keep cold.
  7. Whip the heavy whipping cream in a large glass bowl until stiff.
  8. Gently fold in the cooled milk tapioca mixtue.
  9. Continue slowly folding the milk and whipped cream mixture using a silicone spatula until uniform color is obtained, lovingly turning while adding the love.
  10. Fold in chopped black grapes. place into freezer for 1 hour to gel up.
  11. Remove from freezer to again lovingly turn the ice cream.
