Grand Marnier Souffle

Ingredients:

  • 1 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1 pint milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup grand marnier

Directions:

  1. Melt sugar in milk; boil slowly to obtain a light cream. Melt butter and add cornstarch. Mix well and add to the milk mixture gradually. Cook until evenly thickened. Remove from heat and add Grand Marnier and egg yolks slowly. Blend well. Beat egg whites until stiff, fold into egg yolk mixture. Pour into a 6 cup greased and sugared souffle dish.
  2. Sprinkle with sugar and bake in a 350 degree oven 25-30 minutes. Keep oven door closed until finished baking. Serve immediately. Can serve with a creme sauce if desired.
  3. Serves 6-8. Excellent ending to a special dinner.
