Easy Buttermilk Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • pinch soda and baking powder
  • 1/3 cup shortening ( lard )
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk (+/-)

Directions:

  1. Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture looks like meal. Stir in milk. Mix well . Soft dough can be handled. Roll out dough on flour surface about 1/2 inch thick. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 - 12 min.. Makes about 12 biscuits.
