Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup chopped dates 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp chopped nuts
  • 2 to 3 tsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Heat oven ot 375 degrees.
  2. Grease cookie sheet .
  3. In a small saucepan, combine dates sugar, water, and nuts.
  4. Cook over medium heat for 4 to 6 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and cool.
  5. Separate dough into 4 rectangles; firmly press perforations to seal.
  6. Place two rectangles on prepared cookie sheet; spread each with about 1/3 cup date mixture.
  7. Place two remaining rectangles over date mixture; do not seal edges.
  8. Cut each filled rectangle crosswise into 5 slices; do not separate.
  9. Bake at for 9 to 13 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. If necessary cut strips with knife to separate.
  11. Remove from cookie sheet.
  12. In a small bowl, combine all glaze ingredients until smooth; drizzle over warm strips.
