Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine the dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in butter till fine crumb consistency
  3. Stir in the cranberries and enough buttermilk with a fork to make a moist dough ( not wet ) that sticks together
  4. Knead with floured hands briefly
  5. Form into a large ball and pat onto baking sheet into a 1/2 inch thick circle or so.
  6. Cut wedges with sharp knife
  7. Bake 400F , about 20 + minutes or until puffed , browned and tested done.
  8. Cool scones on baking sheet on cooling rack.
  9. When cold ,again cut through to separate scones.
  10. Serve warm
  11. Freezes and reheats well.
