Ingredients:

  • 2 -2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 (8 oz) envelope fast rising yeast
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. Combine 3/4 cup flour, undissolved yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Heat milk, water and butter until very warm (120-130 degrees).
  3. Add to flour mixture.
  4. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally.
  5. Add 1/4 cup flour, beat 2 minutes at high speed.
  6. Stir in enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
  7. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic (about 8-10 minutes).

  10. Bake in preheated 375-degree oven for 20 minutes.
  11. Brush tops with melted better and serve warm.
