Ingredients:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F/200 C.Lightly grease a 20 cm flan pan or loose bottomed tart pan and set aside.
  2. Crust:
  3. Sieve the flour in a bowl and stir in the almonds.Rub in the butter with your fingertips till mix.resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  4. Add enough water to have a soft dough.Cover and chill in freezer for 10 minutes,then roll out and use to line the pan.Prick the base with a fork and chill.
  5. Filling:
  6. Drain the mango well.Beat the butter and sugar till light and fluffy.Beat in the eggs gradually.Fold in the almonds,cocoa powder and the almond flavouring.
  7. Spread the mix.in the pastry case and arrange the mango over the top .Press lightly to make them settled.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes till filling has risen.Cool slightly.You may dust with powder suagr if you desire.
  9. Sauce:
  10. Place sugar ,syrup and water in a saucepan over medium heat stirring till sugar dissolves.Boil gently for 1 minute.
  11. Remove from heat and add the chocolate pieces and butter stirring till all melt .Serve seperatly with the flan or swirl it over the top with a spoon.
