Chipits Chewy Toffee Skor Almond Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 (225 g) package chipits skor toffee pieces
  • 3/4 cup corn syrup

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F Grease sides of 9x13-inch pan. In large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour beating until well blended. Press dough into bottom of prepared pan. bake 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned along the edges.
  2. Meanwhile in medium saucepan, stir together toffee bits and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until toffee is melted, about 12 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup almonds and 1/2 cup coconut. Spread within 1/4 inch of crust edge. Sprinkle remaining almonds and coconut over top. Bake an additional 15 minutes or until bubbly.
  3. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
