Ingredients:

  • the amounts are suitable for a springform baking tin with a diameter of 28 cm.
  • 6 eggs
  • 250 g sugar
  • 200 g margarine
  • 1 sachet baking powder
  • 4 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tablet of plain chocolate
  • 0.6 litre whipped cream
  • 2 sachets vanillin sugar
  • a little more than a sachet of cream stabiliser

Directions:

  2. Step 1
  3. · Beat together in a bowl the egg yolks, almonds, sugar and margarine
  4. · Add the baking powder mixed with the cocoa and fold in the egg whites, once these has been beaten until stiff
  5. · Pour the mixture into a greased baking tin
  6. · Bake for thirty minutes, leave to cool
  7. Step 2
  8. · Scatter the cherries over the surface of the cake
  9. · Sprinkle on half of the grated chocolate and leave to cool in the fridge overnight
  10. Step 3
  11. · Beat the cream with the vanillin sugar until stiff, spread on the cake and sprinkle on the rest of the grated chocolate
  12. Store in a cool place
