Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cream sugar and butter.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  3. Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts.
  4. Place on ungreased baking sheet (s).
  5. Flatten balls slightly with your hand, then with a fork.
  6. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes until slightly browned.
  7. Remove from baking sheets and place on rack to cool.
  8. ***Sprinklewith colored sugar at Christmas time for that festive touch!
