Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup pecans

Directions:

  1. Melt the butter and add in the coconut oil to melt. You can substitute any kind of oil, and even cut it a bit, but this is the combo I like.
  2. Thoroughly mix the oil, sugar, and cocoa powder.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat till combined. Do not overbeat.
  4. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix till combined but not much more.
  5. Add nuts and mix slightly.
  6. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan.
  7. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
