Brown Sugar Pound Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup golden brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition then stir in vanilla.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder and salt then stir into creamed mixture.
  4. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan then bake at 350 for 1 hour.
  5. Remove from pan and cool on rack.
