Brenda's Baked Haddock Au Gratin

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb haddock fillets thaw & raw
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Set timer for 30 minutes, but don't start.
  3. Melt butter in saucepan.
  4. Add flour & salt. Stir until blended.
  5. Slowly add milk & bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  6. Blend in cheese & lemon juice.
  7. Arrange haddock in shallow, greased baking dish.
  8. Pour cheese sauce over haddock, covering as much as possible.
  9. Sprinkle crushed Ritz crackers over.
  10. Start timer and let it bake for 30 minutes.
