Ingredients:

  • 4 (3/4-inch- thick) pork loin chops (about 1 1/2 lb)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • fresh parsley sprigs (optional)

Directions:

  1. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper; dredge in flour. Sauté chops in oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Add water; cover and cook over low heat 45 minutes or until chops are tender. Remove chops to a warm serving platter, and garnish with parsley sprigs, if desired.
