Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Lightly grease an 8 square baking dish.
  2. Place blueberries into the baking dish and mix in vanilla and lemon juice.
  3. Sprinkle with 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon flour.
  4. Stir in melted butter.
  5. Set aside.
  6. In medium bowl stir together 1 3/4 cups flour, baking powder and 6 tablespoons sugar.
  7. Rub in 5 tablespoons butter using your fingers OR a pastry blender until you have small pieces.
  8. Make a well in center and quickly stir in milk.
  9. Mix until just moistened.
  10. You should have a very thick batter or a very wet dough.
  11. Add more milk, if necessary.
  12. Cover and let batter rest for 10 minutes.
  13. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  14. Spoon the batter over the berries, leaving small holes to vent.
  15. Mix together the cinnamon and 2 teaspoons sugar.
  16. Sprinkle over the top.
  17. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes OR until top is golden brown.
  18. Let cool to just warm before serving.
  19. Can be stored in refrigerator for 2 days.
