Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cup flour , all purpose
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 f.
  2. Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in shortening to pea sized lumps.
  4. Add milk, stir until wet, not runny (it will be lumpy but damp).
  5. Dump on flour covered counter. Sprinkle flour over top so you can pat it to 1 inch thick.
  6. Cut 2 in. rounds and place just touching in metal pans.
  7. Bake at 450 f. for 20 min. (Tops will be golden brown).
