Ingredients:

  • 3 -4 lbs beef brisket
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz) envelope onion soup mix
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 cup catsup
  • 1/2 cup beer
  • 1/4 cup flour

Directions:

  1. Mix the onion soup with the water in a roasting. Season the meat with pepper. Place meat in pan and cover. Cook at325 for 2 hours or until meat is tender.
  2. Place gravy in a bowl and put in freezer. When the fat hardens, remove from gravy. Combine gravy with the catsup,beer and flour.
  3. Slice meat. Place in roasting pan and cover with gravy mixture. Bake at 325 for 40 minutes or until tender. Serve.
