Ingredients:

  • 3 cups dried flower petals, pods and leaves (mixed - use dried petals from lavender, roses, hydrangea, globes, marigolds and babies breath)
  • 2 tbsp orrisroot powder

Directions:

  1. Mix the dried petals together in a clean dry bowl.
  2. Spread out these petals in a 1/4 inch deep layer.
  3. Put a small amount of orris root over the petals layer.
  4. Next, pour 1 drop of essential oil in 4 separate spots on the petals.
  5. Repeat until all the petals have been used up.
  6. Now, once again, put everything in a large bowl.
  7. Wear your plastic gloves and toss or mix everything nicely.
  8. Put this entire mixture in a large container.
  9. Allow it to sit airtight and covered for 1 1/2 to 2 weeks.
  10. Then, remove and toss/mix again.
  11. Put the beautiful potpourri in bowls and enjoy it or you could pack it in very pretty bags and tie it with a cute little bow to give away as gifts!
  12. Enjoy!
