Baked Apple Bettie

Ingredients:

  • 5 lg. macintosch apples
  • 20 oz.' s flour
  • 20 oz.' s sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 6 oz.' s margarine or butter
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tbsp. baking soda
  • pam
  • apple corer

Directions:

  1. Take the core [middle of apple] out of each apple making sure all the pits come out.
  2. Peel each apple then cut the apple first into six parts and each part into small pieces. Then set aside the apples.
  3. Take margarine place in a microwavable bowl,melt butter and then set aside.
  4. Take 9 x 13 x 2 pan spray lightly with Pam.
  5. Then pour into pan all the ingredients except the apples. Mix ingredients well. It should turn into paste.
  6. Mix apples into the paste and it's now ready for baking.
  7. Place into oven at 325 degrees for 45-60 minutes.
  8. To make sure the cake is done the top should all be solid.
