Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp clove
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3/4 cup walnuts

Directions:

  1. 1st layer:.
  2. Beat sugar and shortenig until creamy; add egg; mix.
  3. Stir in milk.
  4. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves twice.
  5. Add to milk mixture.
  6. Spread 1/2 batter into a greased floured 9 inch pan.
  7. Sprinkle with 2nd layer.
  8. Cover with remaining batter.
  9. Scatter 3rd layer.
  10. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 to 45 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
