Apple Crumb Topping Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup hard butter

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet, sauté sliced apples in butter until crisp tender, about 10 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat; cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Combine sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples and mix well to coat.
  4. Place in unbaked pie shell.
  5. Mix together flour, oatmeal, brown sugar and salt.
  6. Cut in butter until resembles fine crumbs.
  7. Place crumb mixture on top of apples and bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes.
